Burning Bush

The Story
Unfortunately our Dad did not write down his thoughts around this box so we are uncertain of its message.
What we do know is that the box is built around the twigs at center of piece. As the years went on, Ted’s kids began to bring him home “found art” which he might one day construct a box around. In this piece, the twigs were found on a beach by his son Rich when he and Ted were on cruise in the Caribbean. When Rich saw the branches on the beach, they reminded him of the Burning Bush, which he thought would be good fodder for one of his father’s pieces.
Some common themes that are likely here are the representation of the 3 major religions worshiping God. The inverted pyramid representing the golden idol/calf. And a questioning of which is the real, true God/Burning Bush - the one we see, or the one hiding in the upper left corner.
