The Story

9/11 Trilogy

Rabbi Alvin Fine wrote a poem that begins with the lines:

Birth is a beginning                                                    

And death a destination.                              

But life is a journey…

Rebirth is a New Beginning

Recently, seeing photos of people leaping from windows of the Trade Towers inspired this trilogy. The previous pieces focused on the second and third lines of the poem. This piece is a departure from the poem in that after tragedy we see a new and better world. Ground Zero is sanctified, the Freedom Tower is constructed and the souls of the victims protecting the newborns soar into the future! “The sun will come out tomorrow.”
