Ted started his Art Box work in 1994. Prior to his Art Boxes, he had experimented with various art forms such as photography, drawing, sculpted walking sticks and more. The evolution of his artwork culminated in the Art Boxes, which became his passion.
While he may not have created many boxes with the core theme of politics, Ted loved discussing and debating politics. It was not unusual for him to thrust an opinion onto you or play devil’s advocate just for the sake of discussion. He was never attached to what he was saying, he was simply looking to exercise the brain and engage in conversation … often to the maddening circular conversations of anyone who might have been trying to make a point or convince him of their “rightness.”
