The Story

When the Sistine Chapel was recently cleaned, the figure of a chimpanzee was found under God’s and Adam’s fingers.  This was not disclosed to the press.  It is believed that Michelangelo, in his study of human anatomy, came to the conclusion that man descended from primates (not yet accepted by the Primates). 

However, the two chimps viewing the uncovered ancestor, had no comment.

Ted loved sharing this box and its story with all those who came to view the box. He loved watching their reaction to the story, unable to determine if he was once again sharing his humor, or if perhaps this was a real story they missed in the news. Suffice it to say that many people believed Ted’s story.

On a separate note, this is one of the few boxes that all Ted’s children admire. Ted went to great lengths to ensure all 4 of his children were treated equally and that nothing would create an imbalance that might break up the family after he died. The kids like to chide their father, letting him know that this box would be the one thing they all fight over. Thankfully, the kids avoided a messy legal battle and the box now enjoys a shared custody agreement among them. :-)
